Phone Review: Lenevo K3 Note

Lenovo K3 Lenovo k3 note was released in the market in March,2015. It held its market from the beginning. This android smartphone comes with android version 5.0 (Lollipop).

Being simple, the look does not differ much from any other android phones. The rectangular phone has a 5.5” display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. An approximate weight of 150g and 8mm thickness makes it quite comfortable for handling. It has a micro usb port and a 3.5 mm jack on top. On the right edge it got the power and the volume button. Below the touchscreen it has 3 softkeys which shows good response. Though having no backlit makes the softkeys a little difficult to use in the dark.

The back portion of the phone covers a 3000mAh removable battery, dual sim card slots and microSD
card slot. A 13P camera and LED flash are at the top left and the speaker is on the right side.

Lenovo k3 note runs an android version 5.0(Lollipop) which can be updated up to V6.0 .There are some features like "Quick Snap" which helps u to take a picture pressing the volume button twice or when the screen is off."Double Tap On Screen" which will turn the screen on tapping it twice. "Flip Screen to Turn Off" allows you to quickly turn off the screen just flipping it downwards. There’s "Pocket-Dial Prevention Mode" which will protect your phone from being touched unnecessarily while kept in pocket. Overall the software having some special features make the phone smart enough for an easier use.
The smartphone provides a rear Camera of 13 MP with auto focusing and an LED Flash Light. It has nice picture quality with high resolution.Though focusing on the main object may capture the things behind the object a little fuzzy. The camera app also helps with  some good editing features. However, the front camera of 5 MP is not quite as expected. The picture quality is not good enough to impress you with selfies though the camera  being 5 MP.
Lenovo K3 Note has 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 Mediatek MT6572 octa-core processor, backed by 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. A microSD Card can be used for external storage up to 32 GB.
As far as it goes it is quite fast and does response good with most of the supported apps. Though it may lag a little while using heavier apps and playing games  like Asphalt 8.

The speaker has a pretty good sound quality which delivers high-fidelity sound that is enough to fill a room. With a 5.5” Full HD Screen it can be a good pocket multimidea device. The call quality is  very clear and shows good response on any connectivity function.
The problem with Lenovo k3 note is the 3,000 mAh battery which drains a little faster. It lasts approximately 6-7 hours under heavy use. The smartphone's software does not seem to be optimized. We expect a software update by Lenovo which may help to  fix this problem.

Overall, At the price of  USD 155, Lenovo K3 Note is a pretty good upgrade by Lenovo.

Though Several problems were witnessed in this smartphone . Using a heavy app overheats the phone. Sometimes the phone gets extremely hot  which may shorten the battery life. Another problem faced by the users is, two of the three softkeys (back and home) below the screen stops working after a few days of buying the smartphone (My experience).
